Avraham Gilad Tiberg, z"l, from Petah Tikva, was murdered at the Nova festival at Ra'im. He recently returned to Israel from volunteering in Panama and started working in Tel Aviv at a shelter for boys and girls at risk. He was about to start studying law at Tel Aviv University.

His sister in her eulogy for him said: "Saturday 10/7/23 at 8:44. In that moment our lives changed. Just the Thursday before everything that happened, you moved. You were waiting to start studying, you bought a computer and new shoes. You just waited so long to start.

That day you were angry with me because because of me you were late for the owner of the apartment who was waiting for you. You said: 'Don't be late for meetings.' If I had known that as soon as I got out of the car I would not see you again, I would have stayed and come with you.

We talked that maybe I would come to the new apartment in the evening and prepare food, in the end I couldn't come. Now I'm so sorry I didn't come. After you came back from South America from the big trip I didn't realize how much I missed you until you arrived. I saw you - and I started crying from excitement, and you immediately said: 'Why are you crying?'

And I answered: 'I'm not crying, I'm sweating from my eyes.' Wherever you've been - you've touched people and left a mark. I loved hearing you speak and recount experiences with such great excitement.

And I wish I had your courage. I was so jealous of you, that you have everything - the most handsome in the family, smart, sociable, generous, calm and a cook. I adored you like a little sister adores her big brother. Wherever you were I would proudly tell about you. I always say that we are the best of friends, the person I consult with, argue with, but in the end I care for him the most.

As much as I would worry about you until you would get angry and say: What, are you my mother? Probably from now on I will take care of you from below, and you will take care of me from above forever!"
