NADAV TRABELSI
BACHUR 5784 | 23 | LOD
Hello!

I’m Nadav Trabelsi, and I’m excited to join the community! I’m 23 years old and I’m from Lod, a city in central Israel near Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion Airport is actually located within Lod’s city limits). My family has been in Israel for two generations: my father was born in Lod, and my mother in Jerusalem. I have one older brother who is currently a student. For the past few years, I studied at the Hesder Yeshiva in Kiryat Shmona.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and I even hiked the Israel Trail, which was an incredible adventure. I also dream of learning to play hockey at a high level—maybe I’ll get some tips while I’m here! Although I don’t have significant experience with Jewish communities abroad, I was inspired by my friend Avishai Seri, who shared his experiences in Montreal.
I chose to write my column about notable rabbinic figures in Israel because their teachings and leadership have had a significant influence on my own journey. By sharing their stories, I hope to highlight the values and principles that guide us and to create a bridge between our communities. It’s an opportunity for me to reflect on the positive impact these leaders have had on my life and to connect with you through shared values and aspirations.
I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, learning together, and being an active part of the community. Thank you for the warm welcome—I’m excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet you all!
