Mibereishit Montreal
Mibereshit is an organization in Israel whose goal is to unite all of the Jewish People to common Jewish Values. Led by the charismatic HaRav Mordechai Elon Shli"ta, one of the most popular and dynamic Rabbis in Israel today, Mibereshit has been growing at an increasing speed uniting secular and religious, Sephardi and Ashkenazi, rightists and leftists under a common umbrella of Jewish thought, culture and history.
In 2006-2007, Mibereshit opened a Montreal chapter based out of Kollel Torah MiTzion. Mibereshit Montreal aims to recreate the success the organization has had in Israel. To do so, Mibereshit energizes the student population of Montreal through different fun and inspirational events and then send that same student community out to give back to the wider community in different ways such as: outreach, volunteering, teaching and other programs which help unite and build the Jewish spirit of our community.
In its first year in action, Mibereshit Montreal had incredible success. The organization has attracted hundreds of CEGEP and University students to a wide variety of programming which, aims to promote Jewish leadership and Torah learning including, Oneg Shabbats, Shabbat Dinners, Shiurim at Kollel Torah Mitzion, and more…

An in depth look at the weekly parasha using the commentaries of our sages and other Torah commentaries with a special focus on relating these teaching to our daily lives.

Daily life on campus forces the observant student to confront daily questions. This class will explore some of these spiritual dilemmas and help students overcome these difficult challenges.
THURSDAYS—8-9pm
► Shabbat Dinner
Students are invited to share an inspiring Shabbat meal filled with singing, divrei Torah, and great food at the Rosh Kollel’s home.
